A 49-year-old man is in custody after a nearly four-hour standoff with Janesville Police Sunday.
Ronald Gapski, no fixed address, was wanted through the the Dixon, Ill. Police Department on a warrant for Sexual Assault to a Child. Police say he armed himself with a butcher knife when officers located him in the 2300 block of Janesville's Center Avenue and refused to surrender. Gapski was on the roof of the residence armed with the knife and refused repeated attempts to take him into custody. The SWAT team became involved and Gapski succumbed to a tear gas exposure.
He was taken into custody unharmed.

? Where did all the comments go, or am I on a different link to this story? Seems to be four or five now, but they all pretty much say the same thing, couldn't get anything yesterday when it started for the first three hours, but now that it's not the weekend we get four of the same thing, is it just me?.......
