— A 20-year-old Janesville man was forcibly removed from his vehicle in a car-jacking incident Thursday in the parking lot of Walmart, 3800 Deerfield Drive.

Two or three men yanked the victim from his vehicle, pushed him down and punched him before driving away in his black 1999 Mercedes-Benz E320 shortly after 3 p.m., said Sgt. Todd Kleisner of the Janesville Police Department.

The men had been waiting for the victim to return in another car, a white Chevrolet Blazer, Kleisner said. Police arenít sure why they targeted the Mercedes, he said.

Kleisner did not have a specific description of the robbers.

No weapons were involved, and the victim was not injured, he said.

The stolen Mercedes struck another vehicle as the robbers drove it out of the parking lot, Kleisner said.
