Janesville 14s split

A state tournament berth will be on the line today for the Janesville 14-year-old baseball team.

Janesville split a pair of games on Thursday in the District 2 Regional Tournament at Waunakee.

In the first game, Janesville lost 12-1 to Madison.

Janesville bounced back to win game two, 13-1 over Reedsburg in six innings, thanks to a complete-game performance from Ryan Marro.

Janesville will play Cross Plains at 12:30 p.m. today with the winner advancing to state.

Adam Greene had four hits in the two games for Janesville, while Jared Fish and Andy Haney were the hitting stars against Reedsburg.
