A program on heroin abuse in Rock County is so popular, its organizers say it's standing room only.

Marv Wopat, Partners in Prevention board member, says the program's speaker has an excellent reputation for his discussions on heroin addiction. Speaker Mike McGowan is a former administrator of a chemical addictions treatment facility.

Wopat says Rock County's heroin epidemic takes over families and destroys people's lives. He says Wednesday's program will help people learn how to help their family members.

The program is scheduled for the Rock County Job Center. It starts at noon.
