A coalition of Janesville artists and businesses is trying to fill the void created by the cancellation of the Tallman Art & Music Festival.

Gallery owner Alicia Reid says an Art Loop features pottery, paints, fiber, mixed media and more. Right now, Reid says about ten artists have signed up for the August 2 event, but she hopes to have about twice that. Several businesses near Milton Avenue will form the Art Loop.

Reid says several of her artists were left with no avenue to display their art that weekend with the cancellation of the Tallman festival. She says that means a loss in revenue for the artists.
