Beloit Snappers get more hits, but fall
BELOIT The Beloit Snappers posted 10 hits to visiting West Michigan’s six but lost 7-3 in Midwest League baseball here Monday.
The Whitecaps took a 2-0 lead in the first inning. Beloit cut the deficit to 2-1 in the fifth but West Michigan answered with a pair of runs in the sixth to take the lead for good, 4-1.
Beloit starter Bruce Pugh
(2-3) allowed two runs on just one hit in four innings to take the loss. Pugh walked three and notched six strikeouts.
