Ten-spot drops Beloit Snappers

BELOIT — The Beloit Snappers had nowhere to go but down after getting hammered with 17 hits in an 11-3 loss to the West Michican Whitecaps in Midwest League baseball here Sunday.

The Whitecaps staggered the Snappers with a 10-run third inning for an 11-2 lead.

West Michigan had nine hits in the third, including four doubles, one with the bases-loaded, to put away Beloit.

Beloit starter Daniel Osterbrock (4-7) allowed 10 runs—nine in the third—on nine hits in 2 2-3 innings to take the loss.

Tyler Ladendorf ripped a two-run double in the first inning to give Beloit a 2-0 lead.
