Intoxicated driving arrests

-- TROY A. HANSON, 38, of 1301 Windsor Drive, Edgerton at 11:17 p.m. Wednesday at Parkside

Drive and Charles Street, Janesville. It is listed as his fifth offense.

-- RONALD R. CROSS, 33, of 8985 Second St., Edgerton at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday at Maine and Racine streets on a bench warrant charging him with failing to appear in court on a previous drunken driving charge.

-- THAD D. ENGLE, 37, of 457 Galena St., Footville at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday on south County Highway D near west State Highway 11. It is listed as his second offense. He was also ticketed for operating his vehicle left of center.


-- FRAUDULENT WRITINGS, reported at 7:46 a.m. July 1 in the 1500 block of Roosevelt Avenue, Janesville. A 22-year-old man reported receiving a letter indicating he was a winner in a sweepstakes drawing. The letter included a check, which a local bank refused to endorse.

-- BURGLARY reported at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday from a home in the 200 block of north Chatham Street, Janesville. A small antique table and gardening tools were reported stolen from a storage shed in the back yard.

-- BURGLARY reported at 2:11 p.m. Thursday in the 300 block of South Parker Drive, Janesville. A resident reported finding his ex-neighbor in his home. Later, he found a friend of the ex-neighbor trying to steal a bike from his garage, according to the police report.

-- BURGLARY reported at 1:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of South Parker Drive, Janesville. The victim reported a speaker valued at $170 stolen.


-- NORTH HIGHWAY 213 AND WEST TOWNSEND ROAD, Magnolia Township, at 12:56 p.m. Saturday, a car driven by Margaret T. Disch, 79, of 4275 Allendale Drive, Janesville, collided with a car driven by Heather L. Higginbotham, 20, of 202 S. Wright St., Orfordville, as Disch moved her car into the intersection to see oncoming traffic. Disch was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way from a stop sign. Higginbotham was treated and released from Mercy Hospital, Janesville.

Walworth County

-- NEWCOMB STREET AT NORTH STREET, WHITEWATER 9:22 a.m. Monday, a vehicle driven by Naomi A. Dahnert, 19, Fort Atkinson, failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with a semitrailer truck driven by Dale E. Archey, 57, Buncombe, Ill. Dahnert was reportedly transported to a local hospital but her condition was unknown. She was cited for failure to stop at a stop sign.
