— Beloit Regional Hospice has been selected as a partner with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization's Caring Connections workplace outreach initiative.

The initiative, called It's About How You Live—At Work, is funded by the Jacob & Valeria Langeloth Foundation. The goal is to increase awareness about the needs of working caregivers who struggle with work-life balance while taking care of their ill, elderly or frail family members. It also provides support for employers with working caregivers.

"We are honored to be chosen as one of 35 hospice partners located across the country and will be actively reaching out to employers in our community over the next year," said Sarah Kruse, community outreach coordinator at Beloit Regional Hospice.

"Through this opportunity, Beloit Regional Hospice will be able to assist employers in providing support and resources for employees who are caregiving for a loved one that is seriously ill, dealing with grief and loss issues, and/or need more information about planning for future health care decisions and other end-of-life issues," she said

To learn more about the resources available for employers, call Kruse at (608) 363-7421.

Beloit Regional Hospice provides care for terminally ill patients and support for their families in the Wisconsin counties of Green, Rock and Walworth and Illinois counties of Boone and Winnebago.
