The final rounds for the Beloit Riverfest Idol competition begin Wednesday.

Special Event Coordinator Brittnay Wittnebel says the performers travel from as far away as Cudahy to perform, and range in age from 13 to 55 years old. Sixty singers auditioned, and 25 will perform in the finals. That number will be whittled down to five performing on Saturday and the winner will open for the Beach Boys Sunday. Also at stake is a $2,000 prize and an album development recording contract.

Peformances can be seen on YouTube.
