Baraboo High lived up to its No. 8 ranking in the Associated Press Division 1 boys basketball poll Friday night.

Senior guard Chris Siebert scored 39 points, and the visiting Thunderbirds defeated Milton, 73-52, in a Badger crossover nonconference game.

Baraboo (14-0) shot 62 percent in the first half to run up a 44-22 halftime lead. Siebert was 15 of 25 overall, including 5 of 8 from three-point range.

Nate Hammon had 17 points and Mason Walters added 11 for the Red Hawks (5-6).

n Oregon 63, Fort Atkinson 45—Brian Ironmonger scored 10 of his team-high 16 points in the third quarter, when visiting Oregon outscored Fort Atkinson 15-4 to take control in a Badger South game.

The Panthers (3-9, 2-4) then sealed the game in the fourth quarter, going 17-of-18 at the free-throw line as both teams scored 20 points in the period.

Mike Amend added 12 points for Oregon.

Mike Knutson scored 16 points and Jacob Bohn had 10 points, including Fort’s only two three-pointers as the Blackhawks fell to 1-11 and 0-7.

 n Monroe 34, Stoughton 32—The Cheesemakers (8-3, 7-0) rebounded from a 24-21 third-quarter deficit with an 13-8 fourth quarter to slip past the Vikings (6-6, 4-3) and stay unbeaten in the Badger South.

Mitch Tordoff scored a game-high 20 points to boost Monroe. Sean Gerber scored 12 points for Stoughton.
