Lake Geneva Badger’s girls basketball team decided things early Friday night.

Badger High rolled to a 33-16 halftime lead and routed Westosha Central, 33-16, in a Southern Lakes Conference game.

Leah Rempert scored 21 points for visiting Badger (11-4, 4-3), while teammate Melissa Toledo added 10. Christina Brinkman scored 17 for Westosha (2-11, 0-7).

n Union Grove 53, Waterford 48—Union Grove withstood Waterford’s second-half comeback bid to knock off the Wolverines in a key Southern Lakes game.

The Broncos (8-4, 5-2) jumped ahead over Waterford (9-5, 5-3) into second place, a half-game behind idle Delavan-Darien (12-2, 6-2).

Union Grove led 30-22 at halftime, but the Wolverines narrowed the gap with a 16-9 third-quarter advantage. The Broncos hit just enough free throws (5 of 10) to hold on for the victory.

Alyssa Thomas led the Broncos with 18 points. Kaitlyn Wilks and Jacqie Servi each scored 11 points for Union Grove, and Stephanie Rank led Waterford with 11.
