Fury falls in Milwaukee
The best effort this season by Rock County unfortunately came against the sixth-ranked girls hockey team in the state Thursday night.
Rock County fell, 3-2, in a game in Milwaukee.
“It could have been either team’s game,” said Fury coach Darrel Moore. “We we made a mistake, they capitalized on it.
“This is the best game we played as a team,” Moore said. “We rolled three lines out there, and they used two, and we wore them down, but we just couldn’t get it in the net.”
Hailey Bayreuther and Megan Lindgren each scored a goal for Rock County, and Heather Krause collected two assists.
The two teams will play again Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at the Janesville Skating Center.
