Craig swimmers fall at Verona

VERONA — Janesville Craig High School lost, 114-56, to Verona to conclude the Big Eight Conference regular dual meet swimming season here Friday night.

The Cougars finish 3-5 in the Big Eight.

Nick Hazekamp won the 100 backstroke in 1 minute, .85 seconds for the Cougars’ lone victory.

“It will be interesting to see what happens with Nick in the next three week,” Craig coach Brian Kitzman said.

Craig will compete in the Big Eight Conference meet next Saturday at Middleton.
