WCLO's Steve Benton reports on concerns over the bidding process for a Janesville Parker High School athletic track

RSS

— The Janesville School Board has asked for a report on bidding procedures used by the district.

Commissioner Tim Cullen sought answers to questions raised about bids on a Parker High School athletic track opened last year in Stevens Point.

Cullen says the bids were opened with no district officials present, which is a bad business practice. He says bids on a similar project at Craig High School were about to be handled the same way, until questions were raised at Tuesday's board meeting.

Superintendent Tom Evert says Director of Business Services, Doug Bunton, is preparing a report for the board and is expected to deliver it at a meeting in February.
