Janesville Parker High School’s boys basketball team was fired up after its spirited battle with Beloit Memorial last Saturday, but it didn’t carry over against No. 2 ranked Madison Memorial on Tuesday.
The Vikings were no match for the powerful Spartans, falling 91-48 to the five-time defending Big Eight champions in a conference game at Madison.
Parker (0-13, 0-10) played tough against second-place Beloit (10-2, 8-2) in what coach Ryan Masterson called the Vikings’ best overall effort of the year—a 74-61 loss that had Parker trailing only 49-44 after three quarters.
Memorial (11-1, 9-1) put its foot down early on the Vikings, taking a 28-12 first quarter lead.
Tre Creamer scored 18 points to lead the Spartans. Jeronne Maymon collected 15 points, Vander Blue added 13, and Junior Lomomba got 11.
Cody Simonson scored 12 points and Tyler Teubert added 11 for Parker.

n Beloit 60, Middleton 43—Beloit Memorial trailed 7-2 after the first quarter and 24-18 at halftime, but the 10th-ranked Purple Knights (11-2, 9-2) bounced back to dominate the rest of a Big Eight game at Middleton.
K.J. Evans scored a game-high 17 points and Terrell Parks added 10 for Beloit, which is tied with Madison East for second place. Matt Everson scored 11 points for Middleton (5-8, 4-7).

n East 70, La Follette 57—Marques Mason scored 12 of his 24 points in an 18-10 third quarter that put Madison East in control of a Big Eight game at Madison La Follette.
The Purgolders (11-2, 9-2) pulled away from a 32-25 halftime lead as they notched their 10th straight win and remained tied for second place in the Big Eight with Beloit Memorial, whom they play Thursday at Beloit.
Nimrod Hilliard IV scored 20 points for East, while D.J. Fuller led La Follette (4-8, 4-7) with 15.

Madison Memorial plays at such a high level, amazing because they have only one football player on there roster. Multi-sport players they are not...and gee they seem to do very well.
