Nate Bauer added a perfect touch to Lakeside Lutheran High School’s remarkable boys basketball victory Tuesday night.

Bauer highlighted a 32-point performance by making all 20 of his free throws, and the Warriors made 27 of 31 overall as they bounced back from last week’s loss to Lake Mills with an 84-62 win over visiting Poynette.

The victory lifted the Warriors to 11-2 for the season and kept them atop the Capitol Conference’s North Division at 5-1.

Lakeside pulled away from a 36-32 halftime lead with a 27-12 outburst in the third quarter, during which the Warriors made eight of 10 free throws. They finished it off by making 11 of 12 from the line in the final period.

Justin Eternick backed up Bauer with five three-point goals and 27 points for the Lakeside, while Cody Odegaard led Poynette (6-5, 1-3) with 18.
