Whitewater woman killed in crash

OAK GROVE TOWNSHIP — A Whitewater woman was killed Monday after the car she was driving crossed the centerline and collided head-on with an oncoming semitrailer truck, according to a news release from the Dodge County Sheriff's Department.

The crash occurred about 3 p.m. Monday on Highway 26 near St. Ann Road in Oak Grove Township, north of Juneau, according to the release.

Lorie R. Dwyer, 49, was pronounced dead at Beaver Dam Community Hospital, according to the release.

The driver of the semi, Rodney C. Ferguson, 49, of Winthrop Harbor, Ill., suffered minor injuries, according to the release.

The sheriff’s department still is investigating the crash.
