Republicans watch for clues in State of State Address
Republicans will likely be watching Wednesday night's State of the State Address very closely.
State Senator Neal Kedzie expects Governor Doyle to lay out the economic challenges being faced by the state. The Republican from Elkhorn says the Democratic governor is likely to offer some optimism, but few direct solutions. Kedzie also believes the speech will have a somber tone with few frills.
He also says legislators are highly anticipating the budget address next month, which will carry much more weight.
