Lakeside, Williams Bay girls win

Lakeside Lutheran High School battled past Watertown Luther Prep for a 42-39 victory in Capitol North girls basketball Monday night at Watertown.

The Warriors (10-3, 5-1) gained an 11-6 advantage in the fourth quarter to squeeze past the Phoenix (4-9, 1-5). Lakeside’s Chelsea Finger scored six of 11 points in the fourth quarter.

Alyssa Allister scored a team-high 14 points for Lakeside. Hannah Rothe scored a game-high 16 points for Luther Prep.

Nonconference

n Williams Bay 31, Alden-Hebron 27—Williams Bay (5-5) made seven of 10 free throws to gain a 9-6 advantage in the fourth quarter for a nonconference win at Hebron, Ill.

Becca Hobbs made five of six free throws during that stretch and eight overall in leading the Bulldogs with 12 points.
