2009 State Assembly begins work
ROCK COUNTY The State Assembly, now under democratic control, rolled up its sleeves Tuesday as they began the difficult task of messaging the economy by supporting state businesses and out of work residents.
Assembly Speaker, Mike Sheridan of Janesville, says the first two bills out of the gate include "The Wisconsin First Act" and "The American Jobs Act." The first will use more state tax dollars to support state businesses. The second will try to halt the trend of outsourcing jobs overseas.
The legislature will also try to tackle the budget deficit and find a way to use federal money from the stimulus bill, and and from an appropriation meant to shore up state unemployment funds.

Is messaging supposed to be "massaging"?
