Local campaigns for 2009 election quiet

Local campaigns for the April election are fairly quiet this year, especially compared to last year's activity.
Dan Cunningham, Forward Janesville's Vice President of Government Relations, says he hasn't heard much from local candidates this year. Early last January, candidates were campaigning ahead of the Janesville City Council election. This year, nine candidates seek one of four seats on the City Council. Eight candidates are running for Janesville School Board, which has five open seats.
