Williams Bay High School’s boys basketball team took another big leap to the Trailways South lead Thursday night.
The defending champion Bulldogs jumped out to a 12-point lead in the first quarter en route to a 71-37 victory over visiting Madison Abundant Life.
It was Williams Bay’s sixth straight conference win, putting the Bulldogs right behind Fall River (5-0) at 6-1 as they get set to host the Pirates in a first-place showdown Tuesday night.
Jack Slovick scored 23 points to lead Williams Bay (6-4 overall) past Abundant Life (2-9, 0-7), and Ben Miller added 14.
