Teen arrested in robbery try
WHITEWATER Police on Sunday arrested a Whitewater teen they believe tried to rob McDonald’s, 1069 W. Main St., Whitewater.
About 11:45 a.m. Sunday, Whitewater police received a report of a man wearing a red ski mask and a Green Bay Packers jacket attempting to rob the restaurant.
The man demanded money from the employee at the front counter. When the employee didn’t respond to his request, he displayed a steak knife and again demanded money, police said.
When police arrived, they found Sky Mall, 18, in the parking lot, and he was taken into custody after a brief foot pursuit, police reported.
Mall was arrested on charges of armed robbery while concealing identify and recklessly endangering safety. He was being held in the Walworth County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
