Home invasion investigation ongoing
MILTON No arrests have been made in the rural Milton home invasion robbery, but the entire Rock County Sheriff’s Office detective bureau is investigating the case.
Cmdr. Troy Knudson said Friday five detectives are following leads and working around the clock.
Deputies responded at 11:01 p.m. Thursday to a report of a home invasion on East Bowers Lake Road northeast of Milton.
Two armed robbers knocked at the door of a couple’s home and posed as stranded motorists, according to the sheriff’s office.
The men bound the homeowners with duct tape, threatened them with a handgun and stole items from their home.
One homeowner was able to get a knife in the kitchen and cut the other free.
Investigators said the home was targeted and that it was not a random act. They declined to release what was stolen from the home.

"The entire detective bureau is investigating the case" ...... "5 detectives are working...." I love how they make the "bureau" sound soooo big! Hey Gazette, here is an idea, PRINT AN ARTICLE WHEN THERE IS A NEW STATUS TO A CASE! Hope they did not waste paper anywhere on this "article" Oh yeah, you forgot to put at the end of this article about how a deputy crashed while responding to the initial call.....DORKS
