Jefferson High is back on top in the Rock Valley North girls basketball race.
The Eagles soared ahead of McFaland by beating the host Spartans, 40-38 in overtime time, Friday night on Caylee Cottrell’s game-winning basket.
Cottrell paced Jefferson (7-3, 7-1) with 13 points, and Jessica Splittgerber added 12.
Kirsten Walker led the Spartans (8-4, 7-2) with 14 points.
