Milton High had the driver’s seat in the first half against Oregon, but the host Red Hawks couldn’t maintain control as they suffered a 46-42 loss Tuesday night in Badger South girls basketball.

The Red Hawks (2-8, 2-4) pounded the Panthers, 17-7, in the second quarter to hold a 25-16 halftime lead, but Oregon (9-3, 4-2) tied it a 30-30 with a 14-5 command of the third quarter.

The teams battled for the lead in the fourth quarter, but Kayla Crowley turned the game in Oregon’s favor, making 8 of 10 free throws down the stretch.

Crowley finished with 15 points. Amber Davis scored 16 points for Milton.
