Beloit College women keep conference lead

Beloit College women’s basketball team kept a firm grip on the Midwest Conference lead with a 74-38 pounding of Lawrence University here Tuesday.

The victory lifts the Buccaneers to 5-0 in the conference and 8-4 overall. Lawrence falls to 0-4 and 0-11.

Amanda Moore scored 16 points for Beloit and teammate Diana Sopkowicz and Sarah Stariha added 10 points apiece. Laura Aerts scored 14 points for Lawrence.
