Beloit College men trounced by Lawrence

BELOIT — Beloit College never got started and suffered a 79-41 loss to Lawrence University in Midwest Conference men’s basketball here Tuesday.

The Buccaneers were pounded 39-18 in the first half in falling to 1-4 in the league and 3-9 overall. Lawrence made 15 of 30 shots from the field in the first half, while Beloit went 6 for 27.

Patrick Kenny scored 12 points to pace Beloit. Ryan Kroeger scored 17 points to lead Lawrence (7-4, 3-1).
