Jason Ziemer scored 12 of his 39 points in two overtimes to lead Verona (6-3, 5-2) over Beloit Memoiral (7-2, 5-2) in Big Eight boys basketball Friday night.
The Purple Knights had to play the second overtime without K.J. Evans and Marshall Davis, who fouled out. Evans finished with 17 points, and Davis had 11.
Jahlil Smith and Terrell Parks added 14 points apiece, and Marshall Davishad 11 for Beloit.
Smith’s three-pointer sent the game into the first overtime, and Evans’ layup at the buzzer put the game into the second overtime.

n West 47, Sun Prairie 44—Mike Harth sank a three-point basket with 10 seconds remaining to give Madison West (2-6, 2-5) a Big Eight win over visiting Sun Prairie (5-4, 3-4).
In a back-and-forth game, the Regents led 24-22 at the half, but trailed 35-33 after three quarters.
Harth finished with 10 points and was the lone Regent to reach double figures. Sam Marshall scored 15 points for Sun Prairie.

Middleton the edge in three-point goals, 11-10, but the Cardinals were outscored 38-17 in the two middle quargters.
Middleton’s Matt Everson finished with a game-high 26 points. Tre Creamer scored 19 to lead the Spartans. Vander Blue added 14 points, and Jerrone Maymon had13 for Memorial.
