The two middle quarters belonged to Milton High’s boys team Friday night, and so did a decisive Badger South victory.
Mason Walters, a 6-6 senior, scored 14 of his game-high 21 points in the first half as the host Red Hawks (3-3, 2-1) pulled away from a 12-10 edge after the first quarter to gain a 58-40 win over Monona Grove (1-8, 0-4).
Austin Richards hit a three-point shot at the buzzer to give Milton a 30-21 halftime, and the Red Hawks finished off the Silver Eagles in a 16-5 third quarter.
Brandon Knudtson backed up Walters with 11 points for Milton. Zach Zweifel, a sophomore, had 18 for Monona Grove.

n Stoughton 58, Oregon 45—The Vikings dominated the first half, rolling to a 34-21 lead, as they tied idle Monroe for the Badger South lead at 3-0.
Jake Thiermann and Sean Gerber scored 15 points apiece to lead Stoughton. Mike Amend scored a game-high 21 points for Oregon.
