Beloit men buried by St. Norbert

BELOIT — St. Norbert College buried Beloit, 49-18, in the first half on the way to a 77-44 victory in Midwest Conference men’s basketball here Tuesday.

The Green Knights (9-1, 3-0) made 19 of 34 (56 percent) of their field goal attempts in the first half, while the Bucs (3-7, 1-2) made just 7 of 24 (29 percent) shot for the first half.

Travis Towns, an Edgerton High graduate, scored 12 points for Beloit. Andy Horton, an Orfordville Parkview graduate, added 10 points. Dave Whipperfurth scoed 13 points to pace St. Norbert.
