Lake Geneva Badger had the three-pointers, but Elkhorn High got the pivotal victory in Southern Lakes girls basketball Tuesday night.

The visiting Elks withstood Badger’s seven three-pointers for a 53-30 win that left both teams at 2-2 in the conference.

Ashlynn Anderson scored nine of her 18 points in the first quarter to help Elkhorn gain a 15-13 lead, which eventually made the difference. The Elks went into the fourth quarter with a 36-32 lead, and Kasey Reeves scored seven of her 15 points to help Elkhorn (4-5) keep the edge.

Leah Remert scored a game-high 19 points for Badger (7-3), and teammate Elyse Reuss added 14.

n Delavan-Darien 55, Westosha 46—Alana Cesarz scored 27 points in leading Delavan-Darien a Southern Lakes victory that lifted the Comets into a second-place tie.

Delavan-Darien (8-1, 3-1) got off to a 16-5 lead and was not threatened the rest of the way.

Courtney Flood scored 12 points and Karli Collins chipped in 10 for the Comets. Christina Brinkman scored 19 points to lead Westosha (2-8, 0-4).
