The next phase begins for flood funding disbursement.

The United Way of North Rock County and Stateline United Way are providing assistance from the agencies' Long-term Flood Recovery fund. In some cases, homeowners with flood-damaged properties are still waiting to hear from FEMA. Even though people could still be waiting, the United Way is encouraging applications to be turned in as soon as possible since funding is available on a first-come first-served basis. The flood fund currently has nearly $70,000 available to homeowners. The funds are a product of community donations, sales of the DVD documenting the flood, and a grant through the South Central Wisconsin Builders Association.
