UW-Rock County students stage "read-in"
As part of Black History Month, students on the UW-Rock County Campus Thursday will read selections from their favorite African American authors.
Assistant English Professor John Pruitt calls it a great way to understand a diverse culture. Three campus student groups, Sigma Kappa Delta English Honor Society, the Multicultural Student Union, and The Alliance are the local sponsors for the event.
The effort is national and attracts one-million participants annually.
