Faith Christian, Albany girls win in Division 4

Becca Brandes scored 13 points to lead No. 4-seeded Faith Christian High School of Williams Bay past No. 5-seeded Johnson Creek, 48-32, in WIAA Division 4 girls basketball regional quarterfinal action Tuesday.

Faith Christian (14-7) plays at top-seeded Burlington Catholic Central (12-9) on Thursday in a regional semifinal. That pairs into the Fort Atkinson Sectional.

Joelle Bauer scored 16 points for Johnson Creek (5-16).

n Albany 54, Trinity Academy 29—Four Comets scored in double figures as second-seeded Albany (11-10) advanced to Thursday’s Division 4 regional semifinal at home against Juda (11-10).

Hayli Peach scored 11 of her team-high 13 points in the third quarter to ignite a 24-10 run by the Comets. Nicolette Blumer also had 13 for Albany. Courtney Pfeuti had 11 and Kaitlyn Schulz added 10.

n Juda 42, Williams Bay 30—Heather Boeke scored a game-high 12 points and Larissa Klemm added 10 as Juda (11-10) slipped past Williams Bay (7-13) and into Thursday’s Division 4 regional semifinal at Albany.
