JANESVILLE A former Milton High School employee is accused of having several online conversations with a 17-year-old student, then sending her instant messages asking her to meet.
When they met, he invited the girl into his vehicle and kissed her while touching her inappropriately outside her clothes, according to the criminal complaint.
He also asked the girl to have sex, according to the complaint.
Jamie S. Dutcher, 32, of 3744 Sandhill Drive, Janesville, appeared in Rock County Court Friday on four felony charges of sexual assault of a student by school staff and four felony charges of child enticement. He was released on a signature bond.
The former technology support technician is accused of meeting the girl four times at hotel and bowling alley parking lots, according to the complaint.
The relationship was discovered when police found Dutcher and the girl in the back seat of his car parked behind the Holiday Inn Express in Janesville on Friday, Feb. 13, police said.
Dutcher was arrested at his home Thursday morning, police said.
He has resigned from his job at Milton High, a school official said.
The 17-year-old girl was a willing participant in the relationship, police said.
Dutcher is married and has children.
His next court appearance is March 4.

It is not fair they live their life scotch free so to say while the guy is constantly being judged ect. GUYS when you meet a girl CARD them geez this will be the new rule of dating ect. As for the other Milton case that made the news a week ago please don't judge yet wait until the FACTS come out the papers portraited it wrong left out some details this has been very hard for the WHOLE family and well I just hope the TRUTH comes out and is there a law on PEEPING TOM's?????????????? also did we forget our miranda rights and the thing called Innocent until proven guilty?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! SarahB... if this was an issue, it WOULD be a factor... Rape is rape, regardless...
However... I drive past the middle school every say on my way to work... several of the young girls are dressed like hookers... the blacked out eyes, the navel area is exposed all the way down to an obscene level. It is disgusting! They show so much skin, I would hate to be married to one of these male teachers! Honestly, the parents of these girls should be arrested for even letting these girls leave the house dressed this way!
Put the blame where it belongs. Seriously, these parents should lose their "parenting card"!
So this "victim" was 17? Bet she was one of "those" girls... Just my opinion, but....

Four felony charges of sexual assault of a student by school staff and four felony charges of child enticement. Her age or ability to consent is not the issue in this. He was a school employee and she is a student! That is the crime being charged. Students are "off limits" no matter how they dress or present themselves.

Would it make a difference if she was blonde? Sarah do you know this? It is as gmaof3 put it IMO and something to ponder did the parents know? If she presents herself as a willing participant and with the way young people not just girls think they are all grown up and can make their own decisions Who can stop this type of conduct? Yes he was the adult and also according to age she can be charged as an adult he is the one who knew better yet she also at that age knew better. Question when adultry is committed both parties are usually charged and being that she is at legal age will she be? Don't get me wrong here as he should be held accountable yet IMO the way young men and women act at that age is something to look at. I think I'll wait and see the whole story and outcome on this one.

Would it make a difference if you learned that the girl was cognitively delayed or what used to be called a "special student"?

OK... I'll play devil's advocate here....
The 17-year-old girl was a willing participant in the relationship, police said.
So, she was just as willing as he.
She was infatuated with a married man... a teacher who she probably adored and fantasized about... she knew he was someone of power/money/established... It was "naughty/sneeky/pleasurable.... It made her feel like a "woman"... he gave her attention...
So if she was screwing around with another 17 year old... its "puppy love"...
Well, let's really look at a couple of other items here... how are these girls dressing nowadays... how do they act... how are the parents really supervising their children? Throw up the arms and say I've done my best... hope she doesn't do anything "stupid".
I think its absurd for an adult to think of a minor as an adult, but look at what these teachers see everyday... SERIOUSLY... if these girls act like slu!$... they'll reap what they sow!
I have granddaughters... an 8 year old and a 4 year old. I see what the media is projecting at them, the sexual innuendos, the scantily dressed dolls, the pressure to be little divas... what else do you expect from these girls? They are fulfilling what they have been programmed to be treated as...
Was he wrong? ABSOLUTELY!!! Should he be punished!!! You betchya!!! But don't assume this will go away. It will take parents to be parental, and not let their daughters leave the house looking like hookers. These girls flaunt their hormones around, like air freshener... Pulleeeeze...
So now you can all pounce... I've had my say.
FYI.. My daughters are 27 / 25 / 21... I know what it is like to raise girls. It was a battle daily!!!

This is wrong. Plain and simple. This man will pay dearly for his lack of judgment, and rightly so.
---
I wonder, though, how many of you who seem "out for blood" here would be equally as outraged if this were a female employee and a 17 year old male student - and how many would be saying how "lucky" the guy was. Under that circumstance would you consider the 17 year old guy a "victim"?

Milton was always known as such a nice little town. But with all the things in the news lately it's really turning trashy. Too bad. Never had to lock my doors. Now I lock them even when we are home. As for this little gem with the 32 yr old and the 17 yr old, I wonder if the 17 yr old was sending instant messages at school. The Milton Courier ran an article that the school was considering allowing kids to have their cell phones in school and can use them to text as long as it wasn't in class. Good luck with that. I hope they reconsider. What could be so important that they would need to have access to that phone all day at school. The idea was to give the kids a chance to be responsible. News flash..the kids who are responsible weren't using them in school in the first place. Some ideas are just dopey.

No boundaries or self-respect shown by either party. It's sad that their stupidity affects others who are innocent.
