Madison East and Sun Prairie come out on top

Madison East 62, Madison La Follette 51—Marquis Mason scored a game-high 18 points as the Purgolders (17-2, 15-2) cruised past the Lancers (7-10) to set up a showdown next week against league-leading Madison Memorial for the Big Eight title.

Trailing 28-21 at the half, East led 41-39 after three quarters and pulled away in the fourth quarter.

The Purgolders, ranked No. 5 in Division 1, have won 15 straight games. Yamil Baccallao and DeAndre Galligan added 12 points apeice for East.

D.J. Fuller scored a team-high 17 for the Lancers.

Sun Prairie 78, Verona 66—The Cardinals (5-11) hit 23 of 27 free throws, had four players in double figures and scored 33 fourth-quarter points to knock off the Wildcats (11-6).

Michael Boos led Sun Prairie with a game-high 22 points. Jordan Noskowiak backed up Boos with 18 points. Korey Enstad added 15 and Sam Marshall had 11.

Conference scoring lead Jason Ziemer led Verona with 19 points.
