Lake Mills High has local rival Lakeside Lutheran’s number this season in boys basketball.

The L-Cats scored another Capitol North victory over the champion Warriors on Thursday night, 77-68.

Lake Mills beat Lakeside, 75-62, in the teams’ first meeting. The two losses to the L-Cats are Lakeside’s only conference defeats this season.

The L-Cats put this one out of reach with a 26-17 surge in the fourth quarter in their home floor. Nick Dunkleberger, Beau Hering and Tyler Arnold started the outburst with three-point goals, and Lake Mills followed by making eight of 10 free throws.

Jake Heinz led five L-Cats in double figures with 16 points. Arnold added 14, while Dunkleberger and Hering scored 12 points apiece. Travis Meyers had 10 for the L-Cats (10-8, 6-3).

Nate Bauer led Lakeside (16-3, 8-2) with 22 points. Justin Eternick had 12, and Jake Meise scored 11 for the Warriors.

Ben Miller and Aaron Rogers added 11 and 10 points, respectively for Williams Bay.

Derek Pieper led Dodgeland with 11 points.
