Iowa women beat Wisconsin
IOWA CITY, Ia. Kachine Alexander, Wendy Ausdemore and Megan Skouby scored 15 points each to lead Iowa to a 72-65 Big Ten victory over Wisconsin Thursday night.
Wisconsin led 32-30 at halftime, but the Hawkeyes shot 57.9 percent from the field in the second half to pull away. They shot 57.1 percent for the game, compared to Wisconsin’s 43.5 percent, including just 40 percent in the second half.
Kristi Smith added 13 points for Iowa (17-9, 10-5).
Teah Gant had 15 points to lead Wisconsin (15-12, 5-11), while Alyssa Karel had 14 and Tara Steinbauer 13.
