WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on Janesville Transit System's possible qualification for federal stimulus money
A Janesville Transit System project may qualify for federal stimulus funding.
JTS Director Dave Mumma tells WCLO's Stan Milam show he's investigating how Janesville could benefit. Mumma says the money can't be used simply to reduce rates or operate the system. He says it could be used for capital projects like replacing the Operations and Maintenance facility. He says the facility is 50-years old.
Mumma says the goal is to submit a project which will support economic growth and development.
