Elkhorn High’s girls basketball team remained in the Southern Lakes Conference title chase Friday night.
Ashlyn Anderson and Brianna Entwistle combined for 33 points as the host Elks pulled away for a 54-45 win over Lake Geneva Badger.
Elkhorn (10-8, 7-4) is one-game behind front-running Union Grove and Delavan-Darien (both 8-3) with one game remaining. The Eks finish Thursday at Union Grove and also would a Badger win over Delavan-Darien to gain a share of the championship.
Anderson scored 17 points to lead the Elks, while Entwistle added 16, including three three-point baskets in the first half.
Gina Ambrose led Badger (13-6, 6-5) with 12 points, and Leah Rempert added 11.

n Delavan-Darien 60, Westosha 41—The Comets moved into a tie for first place in the Southern Lakes with Union Grove by crushing the host Falcons.
Delavan-Darien (15-3, 8-3) led 31-21 at half and was never threatened after that.
Emily Norris made six three-point baskets and scored 18 points to lead the Comets, while sophomore center Alana Cesarz added 16.

Ten of the 12 players scored for Waterford (11-6, 7-4), led by Sam Hribar’s 15.
Wilmot’s Brianna John led all scorers with 21 points.
