Nate Bauer saved his best for last Friday night.

The Lakeside Lutheran senior scored a game-high 33 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter, to lead the Warriors to a 77-70 win over Watertown Luther Prep in a battle for first place in the Capitol North Conference.

Lakeside (16-2, 8-1) moved two games ahead of the Phoenix (10-6, 6-3) with the win.

The Warriors trailed by seven after the first quarter, but outscored the Phoenix 39-28 in the second and third quarters.

Lakeside made all 12 of its free-throw attempts in the fourth quarter, including a perfect 8-for-8 from Bauer.

Justin Eternick added 11 points for the Warriors, and Cole Strohbusch chipped in 10.

Donte Kuehl scored 21 points to lead Luther Prep.

n Williams Bay 58, Rio 56—Jack Slovick scored 24 points, including four three-point baskets, to lead the Bulldogs past visiting Rio.

Williams Bay improved to 8-3 in the Trailways South.

n Union Grove 62, Wilmot 43—Nathan Radke made 12 of 17 free throws en route to a 25-point game that sparked Union Grove past visiting Wilmot.

Radke had 16 of his points in the second half, when Union Grove pulled away from a 26-26 halftime tie.

Shayne Dorn led Wilmot with 12 points.
