Volunteers sign up for BIFF
BELOIT Beloit International Film Festival coordinators are gathering volunteers to handle a number of tasks during next week's annual event.
Executive Director, Rod Beaudoin, says they have around 488 people signed up and could use another 100.
Volunteers will be assigned to a number of tasks including running the films or DVDs, selling and taking tickets, running the concession stands, and driving dignitaries around to the various venues.
Beaudoin says volunteers don't get paid, but if they work a full shift, they'll get free tickets to see any of the movies being shown during the festival.
Anyone wishing to volunteer should call the BIFF office at 608-313-1200 or e-mail Jim and Nancy Heidt at jheidteng@charter.net. BIFF is scheduled for February 19th through the 22nd.
