Whitewater High revved up and took off to down South Division leader Brodhead, 55-40, in a Rock Valley boys basketball crossover game Monday night.

The visiting Whippets (9-7, 7-5) gained a 14-6 second-quarter advantage for a 28-19 halftime lead and were ahead the rest of the way. Brodhead (10-6, 7-5) committed 14 of its 24 turnovers in the first half.

Miles Hookstead scored 29 points, including nine in the first quarter and 10 in the fourth, to lead Whitewater. David Shears added 11 points for the Whippets, and Tony ilderback had 10.

J.J. Panoske paced Brodhead with 19 points.

n Turner 60, Parkview 46—The second-place Trojans used a strong second half to roll past the visiting Vikings and gain a game on Brodhead in the Rock Valley South race.

Turner (8-9, 6-7) pulled away from 20-19 first-half edge with a 15-10 advantage in the third quarter. The Trojans put the game out of reach in a 25-17 final period.

Jordan Conway scored 11 of his 21 points in the fourth quarter for Turner. Aaron Jones scored all 10 of his points for the Trojans in the second half.

Jamie Wichser led Parkview (6-10, 4-8, 6-10) with 11 points.

n Big Foot 70, McFarland 56—The Chiefs (7-8, 4-7) opened with a 7-0 spurt and led the rest of the way to surprise McFarland in a Rock Valley crossover game at Walworth.

Big Foot had five players in double figures, led by Nathan Nagel with 15 points. Alec McGreevy and Michael Spadoni each had 13 points, and Steve Dowden added 12.

Lucas Schmitz led McFarland (8-7, 5-6) with 12 points, and teammates Marques Eversoll and Aaron Dixon each scored 11.
