— The Beloit School Board isn't wasting any time in their efforts to locate a new superintendent.

District Director of Personnel, Ron Nortier, says everybody will get a chance to participate in some way. A focus group, made up from a list of community leaders, will start things off. A community forum will be held Wednesday, February 11th at 6 pm in the Elizabeth Reinholz Theater, and an online survey can be found at beloitschools.net.

The current school board wants to make the final decision prior to the spring elections. Nortier says this will also help the district the final candidate comes from, because they'll be able to search for a new superintendent before the start of the next school year. Nortier says the board wants the search to be nationwide.

the board will consider candidates from all over the country.

The board hopes to have a new superintendent by April 1st.
