BIFF experience enhanced by education

WCLO's Beth Wheelock reports on the role Beloit College plays in next week's film festival.

Preview events before next week's Beloit International Film Festival will focus on different aspects of film making.

BIFF and Beloit College spokesman Ron Nief says it's about films, but also the additional aspect of learning more about films and the process of film creation. He says it's important to discuss the process of screenwriting and film scores. One particular piece of music being examined is the "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber. Other speakers with local ties will review various elements of movies. The college is hosting a series of lectures in anticipation of the film festival.
