Area legislator wants campaign finance reform
An area legislator wants to see a stronger ban, on campaign fundraising, during the state budget process.
Republican Brett Davis tells WCLO's Stan Milam show, a rules change is limited to Assembly representatives. He says the fundraising limitations to not include the Governor or State Senate. The assemblyman from Oregon says the rule should be made into more comprehensive legislation.
Davis admits a comprehensive, far reaching plan, affecting all levels of government and public interest groups, could face a court challenge.
