— The Parkview School Board will set a timeline in the coming weeks to replace board member Sandy Paulson, who has resigned.

Paulson told the board last week she was resigning for personal reasons, Co-superintendent Steve Lutzke said. The resignation took effect at a special school board meeting Thursday night.

At the meeting, the board discussed its policy for replacing members. It will post the opening in local newspapers and accept letters of interest, Lutzke said. It then will interview the candidates and vote on a replacement.

The board probably will set a timeline at or soon after its Monday, Feb. 16, meeting, Lutzke said. He expects the board to accept applications and interview candidates in March, he said.

The appointed board member will serve until the April 2010 election, he said.
