The Janesville School Board is planning a second closed-door meeting Saturday evening.

Thursday the board met for several hours at its attorney's office. The meeting was unusual because it was held away from school district offices, and only the school board and the board's attorney were present. Attorney Dave Moore says in the more than four years he has worked with the school board, this was the first meeting held at his law office.

After Thursday's meeting, board members refused to discuss the topic of discussion, which had been described in the agenda as "likely to have a substantial adverse effect upon the reputation of the person involved".

Saturday, the board is meeting again in closed session "to consider employment and compensation data of a public employee over which the board exercises responsibility". The board may reconvene in open session to consider a motion to approve an agreement relating to employment of a public employee.
